We are reaching out today to let you know that the Asylum Program Division of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is offering technical briefings on asylum claim processes. The technical briefing was developed to help front-line workers and government organizations gain a better understanding of the procedures involved in processing claims submitted by asylum seekers, as well as the supports and services they may be able to access while their claim is being processed. Please note that the information sessions are geared towards front-line workers and public servants from various community organizations and municipal, provincial and other governmental organizations who work with asylum seekers. Our briefings are virtual, via MS Teams, and last about 30 minutes. We also allow time after the presentation for questions. Below is an overview of what is covered.
