Join this workshop for a systemic understanding of the resilience of internationally educated healthcare professionals (IEHPs) in Canada faced with threat to their professional identity. We will present the results of research focusing on the resilience of IEHPs who face the double adversity of immigration as adaptation to a new culture and numerous barriers to professional integration in Canada. Based on focus groups with 25 participants and thematic analysis of their reflections in the program Fostering Canadian Integration for IEHPs: From Learning to Action, we examined the individual, relational and social contributors to their resilience. Based on the findings, we offer four learning outcomes in the presentation:
1. Expand resilience to a social ecological concept
2. Understand how self-awareness contributes to resilience
3. Strategies for forming a learning community
4. Learn how to foster a positive mindset and restore a meaningful professional identity for
