"DESCRIPTION
This webinar will address the following question: how can public health organizations strengthen their capacity to promote healthy public policies? It is primarily intended for professionals and decision-makers in the public health field who are interested in potential ways to advance healthy public policies. Drawing on the work of the NCCHPP as well as the concrete experiences of Peterborough Public Health and Saskatchewan Health Authority, the webinar will offer a reflection on existing strategies and learning derived from their implementation.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify various strategies tailored to different contexts to strengthen the capacity to act on healthy public policies.
  • Describe concrete experiences of public health organizations that have implemented some of these strategies.
  • Initiate or deepen a reflection on the means that can be implemented to strengthen the capacity of their organizations to act on healthy public policies"
