Description:
Join us for a comprehensive in-person professional development session focused on strengthening collaboration between the Winnipeg School Division and settlement organizations, to better support newcomer students and their families. This session will begin with an overview of the newcomer population in WSD and the services currently offered, followed by presentations from key settlement organizations. We will explore strategies for effective collaboration, review insights from the Education & Settlement Collaboration Survey, and engage in interactive activities designed to enhance our collective efforts. This is a unique opportunity to build partnerships and develop actionable plans to improve outcomes for our newcomer students and families.
