MANSO would like to invite newcomer service providers and ethnocultural community groups to an engagement session with Shared Health about disrupting racism in healthcare.
Disrupting and dismantling racism in our health system is a challenging, complex and long-term process. We will tackle racism on multiple levels, and we can’t move forward without partnering with newcomer service providers, ethnocultural community groups, and through the engagement of patients, families, and staff. Shared Health considers MANSO, our members and the ethnocultural community groups as important community partners, and they want to hear from you:
What is the most important work that needs to be done to disrupt racism?
How should we involve newcomer service providers?
How will we know that we are succeeding; disrupting racism?
What does accountability look like to you?
Your input from this session will be used in the development of a Strategic Plan and key performance indicators that Manitoba Health will use to monitor the performance of health regions and organizations in their work to disrupt racism.
