N4 is pleased to be welcoming back Dr. Michelle Mullen, Bioethicist at CHEO on September 22nd from 1 - 3 pm ET. In this interactive session, Dr. Mullen and ethics coaches will guide us through an ethical dilemma and explore possible options for responding to the dilemma using an ethical framework.
The event is open to professionals across Canada who work with newcomers from the health and settlement sector:
We are also inviting participants to submit a case for discussion. Since International Translation Day falls in September, we were hoping to solicit a case related to ethical dilemmas related to language and interpretation. However, we also welcome other ethical dilemmas related to your work with newcomer clients/patients. If you would like to participate in this opportunity and have a case to submit, please share a de-identified ethically challenging scenario you have encountered in your professional role when working with newcomers that could be presented for discussion. Please send this case discussion to Andrew Tomayer, N4 Education Coordinator (atomayer@cheo.on.ca).
